John Higgins – US President

John currently serves as President of Caspian Learning U.S. and is also a member of the Caspian Board of Directors. In his Caspian role John is responsible for leading the deployment and adoption of Caspian solutions and capabilities for clients across the U.S. Prior to joining the Caspian team John served as the global Senior Director of Innovation Deployment for Accenture HR & Learning BPO Services. John has also held senior leadership positions with BearingPoint, KPMG, and IBM.

John’s current areas of industry focus and research include: serious games for learning, virtual worlds for collaboration, social media & collaboration, and increasing the business impact of HR & learning. John is recognized in the learning industry as a thought leader and innovator. There is a U.S. & European patent pending for John’s work in the field of measuring the impact of learning on business results. His work in the development of a Business Measurement Framework offering has been recognized with an Accenture Inventor’s Award. John is active in the HR & Learning analyst community and HR & learning industry organizations. John was named by HRO Today magazine as a 2009 industry superstar for his contribution to innovation in the field of HR & Learning.

John serves on the board of directors for Big Thought, a not for profit enterprise responsible for creating a partnership between Dallas schools and the arts. John also served as a founding member of the South African e-Skills Council, an advisory group that is providing insight to the South African government to advance the development of ICT skills.

John received his Master of Business Administration with a major in international business from the University of Miami, and a Bachelor of Science in management from Nova Southeastern University. John is currently enrolled in the University of Texas Masters of Science in Organizational Behavior program.
